Jamie BatsonJamie Batson, Senior Vice President of Mather Associates, specializes in the program design, coordination and delivery of leadership development programs. Drawing upon her career experience and educational background in adult learning, group dynamics and counseling, she works closely with clients to design programs that are unique to a particular region or interest group. (See Leadership Programs).

She also designs and presents workshops and seminars on planning and managing change, running effective meetings and facilitation. She works closely with organizations and individuals in a variety of areas ranging from mission-based planning to board/staff development.

Jamie was previously the Program Director for the Center for Constructive Change in Durham, New Hampshire. At the Center, she worked closely with the founders, Dr. Fred Jervis and his wife, Jan Williams to bring the theory and practice of constructive change into the elementary school. Jamie now uses the constructive change approach in her work with individuals and organizations. As President/CEO of the Greater Dover, NH Chamber of Commerce, she led the efforts to create that group's nationally recognized "Do It In Dover" campaign to encourage business start-ups. The organization produced the summer-long Cocheco Arts Festival, which won the NH Governor's Award for Community Spirit in the Arts.

In the late 1980's, Jamie returned to UNH to run the UNH Celebrity Series. She has also been Executive Director of The Prescott Park Arts Festival in Portsmouth, NH, where she helped produce outdoor musicals with equity and amateur actors as well as dance performances and concerts.

Jamie first came to New Hampshire from Rye, New York to attend University of New Hampshire where she earned a BA in English with a minor in Studio Art. While at UNH she was a columnist for the New Hampshire and hosted a radio show on WUNH.

She received her Master's Degree in Higher Education with a minor in Counseling from Syracuse University and returned to New Hampshire to work for the University System College for Lifelong Learning (now Granite State College) as an Academic Counselor and later as the Program Coordinator for the Seacoast Region. She has also taught a number of courses for the college including Introduction to the Helping Process, Orientation to College, and Assessment of Prior Learning. Other affiliations have included The Odyssey House Board of Trustees, Leadership New Hampshire Board of Directors and the National Association of Leadership Organizations.

Jamie and her partner, Norman Rouleau, live in West Lebanon, Maine across the Salmon Falls River from Milton, NH. They also spend part of the year living and working on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. (See Creativity and Cruising)
